LA 314: Spring 2020 + Summer 2020 + Spring 2021 + Spring 2022

LA 1104 (314 at the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign)

For the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign’s landscape architecture history course, I taught three semesters and one summer session. The semesters typically included 2-3 sections of 25 students each.

Besides delivering lectures and creating engaging activities on landscape, architecture, and urban planning periods of prehistory through the modern era, I also developed extensive guides to help students through writing their 8-10 page research essays. Students chose a historical site for in-depth research and report writing. Essays cover cultural, political, engineering, and natural systems topics around the world. In total, I gave detailed feedback and guidance on 244 student essays, which is approximately 2,440 pages reviewed.
